Riley Whitney (Alden, Benjamin), son of Alden and Sarah (Carpenter) Whitney, was born Aug 1804, Westminster, VT, and died 1 Jan 1878, Le Ray, NY. He was buried in Sanford Corners Cemetery, Calcium, NY.[1]
He married Mary -----. She was born about 1817, and died 6 Sep 1895, Le Ray, NY, aged 78 years. She was buried in Sanford Corners Cemetery, Calcium, NY.[2]
Riley Whitney moved to Le Ray NY in 1838. He joined a company commanded by Capt. Daniel Heustis, took part in the Patriots War; was taken prisoner and sent to Van Diemans Land (Tasmania) in 1839; was away from home 10 yrs.
