Robert Hudson⁸ Whitney (Samuel⁷, David⁶, Samuel⁵, Benjamin⁴, Thomas³, Thomas², John¹), son of Samuel⁷ and Fanny (Hudson) Whitney, was born 23 Aug 1822, Shrewsbury, MA,^[1] and died after 1900.

He married, 20 May 1857, Mineral Point, WI, Martha Marie Sanguine, daughter of Richard and Elizabeth (Heard) Sanguine. She was born 20 Sep 1836, Honesdale, PA, and died after 1880.

He was a carpenter and wagon maker, and resided Mineral Point, WI.
