Family:Whitney, Samuel B. Homer (1832-1884)

Samuel B. Homer⁷ Whitney (David Morse⁶, George⁵, Jason⁴, Mark³, Benjamin², John¹), son of David Morse⁶ and Mary Ann (Gilmore) Whitney, was born 11 Oct 1832, Natick, MA, and died 12 Dec 1884, Cochituate, MA, aged 53 years 2 months, of consumption.^[1]

He married, between 1864 and 1867, Eldora (Collins) Thurston, daughter of Martin Collins. She was born about 1837, Ireland, and died 30 May 1893, Wayland, MA, aged 58 years 10 months 28 days, of uneurin poisoning.^[2] She had married firstly, 3 Sep 1852, Norway, ME, Hiram Leonard Thurston, who was born 7 Aug 1828, Oxford, ME, and died 21 Aug 1864, Washington, DC.

She resided Cochituate. He was a soldier during the late war in the 1st Massachusetts Cavalry. He resided Cochituate, MA. He was a shoemaker.
