Sanford Bennett7 Whitney (George Washington6, Ebenezer5, David4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1), son of George Washington6 and Matilda (Olmstead) Whitney, was born 18 Sep 1827, Venice, NY, and died 23 Sep 1890. He was buried in East Venice Cemetery, Venice Center, NY.[1]

He married, 29 Dec 1858, Venice, NY, Martha Whiting, daughter of William and Nancy (Hurlbut) Whiting, of Venice, formerly of Moravia, NY. She was born 27 Jun 1837, Moravia, NY, and died 29 Mar 1932, Groton, NY. She was buried in Genoa Regional Cemetery, Genoa, NY.[2]
