Stephen M. Whitney (Caleb, Caleb), son of Caleb and Hannah (Davis) Whitney, was born about 1833, Springfield or Chester, VT, and died 9 Apr 1864, Lowell, MA, aged 31 years, of consumption.[1]
He married, 8 Dec 1856, Lowell, MA, Elizabeth Riley, daughter of John and Susan (-----) Riley, or Michael and Dorcas (-----) Riley.[2] She was born about 1837, Boston, MA, and died 31 Jan 1870, Lowell, MA.[3] In records after her marriage, she is called "Ellen", not "Elizabeth".
