Sylvester6 Whitney (Matthias5, Joshua4, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), son of Matthias5 and Dorcas (Vaughan) Whitney, was born 15 Aug 1785, Hancock, MA,[1] and died 25 Feb 1855, Oakfield, NY.

He married, Granville, NY, Laura Yale. She was born 1795, Wallingford, CT, and died 26 Feb 1865, Batavia, NY. He resided Riga, Batavia, and Oakfield, NY.
