Huldah3 Whitney (Benjamin2, John1), daughter of Benjamin2 and Mary (Poor) Whitney,[1] was born about 1704,[2] and died after 19 Aug 1759 (see below).

Huldah married, 16 Nov 1724, Framingham, MA, Zachariah Morse "of Marlborough",[3] son of Joseph Morse and Elizabeth Sawtell.[4] He was born 12 Aug 1699, Watertown, MA,[5] and died before 12 Aug 1734, when the administration bond for his estate was given (see below).

"The Ltr. of Adm. in the estate of Zachariah Morse of Southborough, husbandman, was dated 13 Aug 1734 and issued to his widow, Huldah Morse. An £800 Bond dated 12 August 1734 was issued to Hulda. Timothy Johnson of Southboro, Worcester County, husbandman, and Benjamin Whitney of Framingham, Middlesex County, were bondsmen (177:469). David Fay, Nathan Brigham and Sam'll Lyscom returned an inventory totaling £397:4:8 including lands, house & barn at £280 (1:141). Huldah filed her account 12 Aug 1735 (1:166). On 15 Aug 1752, a committee composed of Sam Lyscom, Timothy Brigham, David Woods, Thomas Graves and Benjamin Nixon deterrmined the the estate was not sufficient to be divided among all the heirs (4:80), and on 19 Aug 1759 a partition bond in the amount of £1,000 was issued by Benjamin Morse, Husbandman and Ezra Taylor, Gent., both of Southborough and Abijah Bruce of Westborough, Gent. granting two-thirds to Ezra Taylor and the other one-third to Huldah Morse the widow. Upon her death, her thirds to go to eldest son Benjamin Morse who was to pay his brothers and sister, namely: Mary Newton, wife of Samuel Newton; Elizabeth Morse & Daniel Morse (615:20)."[6]

The above Benjamin3 Whitney was her nephew, son of her half-brother Benjamin2 Whitney.

iii. Elizabeth Morse; b. 20 Jun 1731 at Southborough, MA;[10] m. Nehemiah Newton.
iv. Joseph Morse; b. say 1734;[11] m. Joannah Newton.
v. Samuel Morse, b. say 1737;[12] m. Mary Rice.

1.^  Her parentage, while unproven, is supported by her husband's probate records, since her nephew was involved with the estate. Apparently their eldest son and daughter were named after her parents, and their second son and daughter after his parents, so onomastics also supports her parentage.
