WHITNEY is undoubtedly the one listed as #4580 in Frederick Clifton Pierce, _Descendants of John Whintey_, p. 499. He was b. 12 Feb 1843, Dickenson, NY, son of Peter-7 and Laura (FARR) WHITNEY [Israel-6, Jonas-5, Jonas-4, Moses-3, Richard-2, John-1]. Her m. 3 Sep 1865, Cynthia L. DAVENPORT, b. 9 May 1838. In 1895 they resided in Malone, NY. Their children are given as: i. Eva Maria, b. 15 Nov 1866. ii. Charles Leonard, b. 5 May 1868. iii. Carl Cushing, b. 24 Feb 1873; d. 10 May 1876. iv. Floy Fisk, b. 20 Jul 1877. On p. 625, Charles Leonard-9 WHITNEY is treated. He m. 14 Feb 1893, Mattie E. IRISH. They had a son Gifford Irish WHITNEY, b. 24 Mar 1894.
