William Chase⁹ Whitney (Robert S.⁸, Ebenezer F.⁷, Peter⁶, Abraham⁵, Benjamin⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Robert S.⁸ and Nancy J. (Chase) Whitney, was born 1 Aug 1863, Litchfield, ME,^[1] and died after 1910.

He married, 20 Jun 1886, Richmond, ME, Adeline/Adelaide May Lancaster,^[2] daughter of Potter and Nancy E. (Cook) Lancaster. She was born 3 Jun 1866, Richmond, ME, and died 20 Mar 1911, Hadley, MA. She was buried in Litchfield Plains Cemetery, Litchfield Plains, ME.^[3]

He was of Granby, MA, in 1900; in 1904 he was farmer in Chicopee, MA.
