Samuel6 Whitney (Benjamin5, Daniel4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of Benjamin5 and Sarah (Ketcham) Whitney, was born 16 Nov 1779, Warwick, NY, and died 10 Oct 1852, Shelby, NY.

He married, 1800, Newtown, NY, Hannah Carpenter, daughter of Joshua and Sarah (Burt) Carpenter. She was born 17 Nov 1781, Warwick, NY, and died 22 May 1850, Shelby, NY.

Phoenix says the following:
