In manner, Mrs. James was kind, sociable and given to hospitality.  All friends were always welcome in her home and she welcomed opportunity for doing good.  To know her was to esteem her, and the ones who knew her best respected her most.  She was cheerful in the performance of whatever she was called to do.  Her aged parents lived with her for about twelve years, and to care for them was to her pleasure.  Her work on earth is done having finished her labors here, we know and believe that she has passed where beyond these voices the is peace.
