Asahel7 Whitney, (John6, John5, Joshua4, Joshua3, Benjamin2, John1) son of John and Polly (Gibbs) Whitney, was born 30 Aug 1809, Broome Co., NY.
He married 2 Oct 1838, Ashtabula Co., OH, Harriet N. Hatch, dau. of Luther and Polly (Morrill) Hatch. She was b. ca. 1817, VT, and d. aft. 1900, Santa Barbara, CA.
