Constant Hopkins7 Whitney (Sewell Pitt6, Barnabas5, Isaac4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Sewell Pitt6 and Annie (Tuttle) Whitney, was born 17 Apr 1824, Freeman, ME, died 20 January 1906 in Blue Earth Co., Minnesota

He married firstly, intentions in Freeman, ME 25 July 1846, married 9 August 1846 in Freeman, ME, Olive H. Vaughan. They were subsequently divorced in 1849. He married secondly, 17 Apr 1854, Lowell, MA, Elizabeth Potter, b. 30 November 1830 in ME; died 3 July 1908, probably in Minnesota. Both are buried in the Chase Cemetery in Mapleton, Minnesota.

Constant was a Civil War veteran, and received a pension from the U.S. government.
