John7 Whitney (Jeremiah6, (poss.) John5, (poss.) Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Jeremiah6 and Lydia (Cole) Whitney, was born 9 Apr 1799, Weld, Franklin Co., ME, and died sometime after 1850, probably Weld, Franklin Co., ME.
He married, 5 Mar 1822, Dixfield, Oxford Co., ME, Polly Temple.
Children of John and Polly (Temple) Whitney:
i. Abigail Whitney, b. ca. 1830, ME. No further record found. ii. Lydia Whitney, b. ca. 1833, ME. No further record found. iii. John Whitney, b. ca. 1835, ME; d. after 1850. Note that he was not the John Whitney who m. Penelope Ward. iv. Daniel A. Whitney, b. ca. 1837, ME. v. Amasa Whitney, b. ca. 1841, ME, m. Salva W. Phinney
