John Wheeler⁷ Whitney (Jabez⁶, Phineas⁵, Isaac⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Jabez⁶ and Abigail Milk (Wheeler) Whitney, was born Apr 1820, Meigs Co., OH, and died 24 Mar 1912, Browns Valley, Traverse Co., MN.

He married, 7 Jul 1842, Mount Sterling, Brown Co., IL, Martha Jane Riggins, daughter of Mark and Rachel (Bristow) Riggins. She was born 22 Feb 1822, Brown Co., IL, and died 27 Nov 1881, Union Grove, MN.
