Abiezer Holbrook⁶ Whitney (Nathan⁵, Benjamin⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Nathan⁵ and Sarah (Godfrey) Whitney; born Maine, 29 Mar 1794; married at Litchfield in 1816, Elizabeth White; born 21 Oct 1794; died July 2, 1841; married 2d Mrs. Susan Yeaton, of Hallowell, Maine. He was a millwright. He died 17 Jul 1865; resided Augusta, Maine, and New Orleans, Louisiana.

ii.	Sarah Whitney, born 3 Jan 1819; died 3 Oct 1891.

iv.	Julia A. Whitney, born 27 Jun 1823; married 27 Aug 1848; she died Sept. 1892.

Martha White Whitney, born 29 Feb 1836; married at New Orleans, 17 Oct 1854, Thomas Godfrey, born 17 Sep 1815; son of John and Mercy (Whitney) Godfrey, of Lisbon, Maine; married for 1st wife Marcia Ann Woodward; was a stevedore. He died in New Orleans, Louisiana, 13 Jun 1860, and she married 2d, Oct. 7, 1869, Dr. S. C. Russell, born 25 Sep 1819; was a physician; resided New Orleans, Louisiana. Ch.: John Thomas, born 11 Jan 1856, died 23 May 1856; Bertha Aphia, born 15 Jun 1857; died 2 Jun 1860; Ida, born 2 Jul 1859; married 20 Sep 1881, A. H. Brackett; Mattie Chapin, born August 3, 1870; Edward Ernest, born 30 Jun 1872; died 3 Feb 1875; Anna Gertrude, born May 15, 1877. The postoffice address of the living is in New Orleans, excepting Ida Godfrey Brackett, of No. 717 17th St., east, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
