Isaac4 Whitney (Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Nathaniel3 and Sarah (Ford) Whitney, was born 9 Mar 1720/1, York, ME,[1] and died 1800, Freeport, ME.[2]

He married firstly, 5 Sep 1743, Sarah Crosby, daughter of Dr. Jonathan and Hannah (Wicom) Crosby. She was born 18 Jan 1724, Dover, NH. She died 23 Jun 1765, Gorham, ME.

He married secondly, 29 Aug 1765, Gorham, ME, Hannah (Lombard) Payne, daughter of Jedediah and Hannah (Lewis) Lombard. She was born 4 Oct 1718, Truro, MA, and died before 1 Jan 1784. She had married firstly, 8 Mar 1739/40, Truro, MA, Jonathan Paine.

Marriage intentions for him "of Buxton" and "Mrs." Mary Walker "of Falmouth" were published 13 Dec 1783, Buxton, ME. He married thirdly, 1 Jan 1784, Gorham, ME, Mrs. Mary Walker, by Edward Phinney, Esq.

Pierce says the following:[3]

He was born in York, where he resided until 1752, when he purchased a house and lot in Saco. In 1775 he was living in Buxton, Me., but died at the house of his son Henry, in Freeport, in 1800, aged 80. He married three times.

vi. Jonathan Whitney, b. 9 Feb 1757, Saco, ME; m. Mary Blake.
vii. James Whitney, b. say 1762, Gorham, ME. Possibly the James Whitney who m. 15 Aug 1785, Gorham, ME, Deborah MURCH.
viii. Mary Whitney, b. say 1760, Gorham, ME; m. ----- Thompson; d. 1832.

Children of Isaac4 and Hannah (Lombard)(Paine) Whitney, all born Gorham, Maine:

i. Barnabas5 Whitney, b. 18 Aug 1766; m. Sarah R. Walker.
ii. Henry Whitney, b. 24 Jul 1767; m. Abigail Walker.
iii. Timothy Whitney, b. 10 Oct 1768; d. 22 Sep 1769, Gorham, ME.
iv. Sarah Whitney, b. 27 Dec 1769; d. 17 Jan 1770, Gorham, ME.
v. Timothy Whitney, b. 1 Aug 1771; m. Martha Wells.

Isaac4 and Mary (Walker) Whitney had no children.
