Abiezer Holbrook⁶ Whitney (Nathan⁵, Benjamin⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Nathan⁵ and Sarah (Godfrey) Whitney, was born 29 Mar 1794, Lisbon (also recorded in Bowdoin), ME, and died 17 Jul 1865, New Orleans, LA.

He married firstly, 15 Nov 1816, Litchfield, ME, Elizabeth White, daughter of Isaac and Martha (Owen) White. She was born 21 Oct 1794, Bowdoin, ME, and "Betsey" died 2 Jul 1841, Augusta, ME, aged 46 years.^[1]

He married secondly, Mrs. Susan Yeaton or Eaton, of Hallowell and/or China, ME.

He was a millwright. He resided Augusta, ME, and New Orleans, LA.
