Marriage intentions were published in Lee, ME, and in Springfield, ME, 8 Sep 1834, for him and Agnes Smith. He "of Lee" married, 28 Dec 1834, Dresden, ME, Agnes Smith, daughter of Joseph and Martha (Robinson) Smith. She was born 13 Apr 1811, Dresden, ME, and died 19 Apr 1893, Lee, ME.
He resided Lee, ME in the censuses of 1850, 1860 and 1870, where he was a farmer.

In the 1880 Census of Lincoln, Penobscot Co., ME, Almasha and sons Charles and William are living with her parents, Lewis and Clara Lane. Children: a. Charles9 Whitney, b. 25 Jun 1872. Penobscot Co. Probate record: Braddock S. & Almatia Whitney, parents, of Lee, ME, relinguishing son Charles Whitney, age 4 (on 25 Jun) to Lewis and Clara Lane of Lincoln. Child does not lose inheritance rights from biological parents. Dated Nov 1876. b. William Whitney, b. 23 Sep 1875.
