Tryphena⁵ Whitney (Jonathan⁴, Josiah³, Jonathan², John¹), daughter of Jonathan⁴ and Tryphene (Daniel) Whitney was born 9 Mar 1753 at Wrentham, MA^[1] and died 9 Dec 1817 at Wrentham, MA, at age 64^[2], in her 65th year.

Tryphena married Abel Witherell, son of William and Mary (Pain) Witherell, 1 Nov 1770 at Wrentham, MA.

Abel Witherell was born on 3 Apr 1747 at Norton, MA. He died on 11 May 1822 at Wrentham, MA, at age 75; aged 75 years, "Revolutionary pensioner." He was also known as Abel Witherel.

Children of Abel and Tryphena⁵ (Whitney) Witherell all b. at Wrentham, MA:

i.	Rebekah Witherell, b. 14 Feb 1773; m. Amariah Robinson circa 1794 at Wrentham, MA.
ii.	Trypheney Witherell, b. 20 Oct 1781; d. 13 May 1803 at Wrentham, MA, at age 21; in her 22nd year.
iii.	Polly Witherell, b. 17 Jun 1784; m. John Gary 24 Aug 1801 at Wrentham, MA.
iv.	Jonathan Whitney Witherell, b. 3 Jun 1787; m. Sally Colman 25 Oct 1812 at Wrentham, MA.
v.	George Witherell, b. 18 Apr 1790.
