i. Artemas7 Whitney, born 8 Jun 1775; died Mar 1, 1777. The wid. married 2d, Sept 12, 1778, Nicholas Oatteson; resided Harvard. He was born Mar 22, 1740. Nicholas took up land at Otter Creek, Vermont. His family remained in H. While living there in a hut he died in 1790. Ch. by Abigail: Abigail, born 22 Jul 1779; died infancy; Abigail Willard, born 13 Jun 1780; died 23 Jun 1813; Artemas, born Apr 7, 1781; Lucinda, born Feb 25, 1783; died 1832; Anna Willard, born Mar 5, 1785; Alexander, born 15 May 1787; died unm. at sea.
