Salmon7 Whitney (Salmon6, Jonas5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Salmon6 and () Whitney, was born 31 Jan 1788, Harvard, Massachusetts, and died 17 May 1882.

He married firstly, Eliza Sumner.

He married secondly, 29 Dec 1829, Alsa P. Pond. She was born 19 Feb 1803, and died June 1871.

He was born in Harvard, Massachusetts, worked on the farm, and attended school winters as opportunity presented. He moved to Boston when but twenty-one years of age, and for half a century kept a salt fish store on Long Wharf. He resided Boston, Massachusetts.

i. Davis S.8 Whitney, born 2 Oct 1824; married Mrs. Sarah T. Belcher.

Children of Salmon7 and Alsa P. (Pond) Whitney:

ii. Elizabeth Augusta Whitney, born 22 Oct 1832.
iii. Henry Lyman Whitney, born 13 Nov 1834; died 6 Sep 1856
iv. Edward Whitney, born 3 Jan 1842; died 2 Apr 1846.
