I. Eliza Whitney, b. at Pawling, N. Y., 22 Feb. 1800; married at Enfield, N. Y., 28 Dec. 1820, James Hervey Halliday, a farmer, son of William and Ann (Hulett) Halliday, of Bethlehem, in Cornwall, N. Y., where he was born 2 Dec. 1800. They settled in Enfield ; and moved, about 1825, to Bonny Hill, in Cameron, now Thurston, N. Y., where she died, 12 Ap. 1841, and was buried. He was living there in March 1875, with a second wife. He is said to have served as a deacon in the Baptist Church since he was sixteen years old.

II. John Whitney, b. at Pawling, N. Y., 3 Feb. 1802; a lumberman and farmer; married at Enfield, N. Y., 22 Nov. 1827, by Rev. Ezra Chase, Christian, to Lucinda Lovell, dau. of Moses and Susanna (Baker) Lovell, of Enfield, where she was born 23 July 1809. They dwelt, for three years, in Cameron, N. Y.; then settled in Enfield; and, in 1839, moved to Newfield, N. Y., where they were living in March 1875.

III. Belden Whitney, b. at Pawling, N. Y., 14 Ap. 1804; a farmer and teacher; married at Hector, N. Y., 21 Feb. 1829, by Rev. Ezra Marvin, Christian, to Sally Maria Proper, dau. of John and Paulina (Rosell) Proper, of Hector, where she was born 11 June 1811. They settled at Enfield, N. Y., where she died 20 Ap. 1842, and was buried in Jones' Cemetery at Hector. He was married (2d), 2 Sept. 1843, at Starkey, N. Y., by Rev. Ezra Marvin, Christian, to Mary Elizabeth Newbury, dau. of Joel and Sally (Squire) Newbury, of Catskill, N. Y., and g. dau. of Edie and Ruth (Burt) Newbury.1 She was born in Patterson, N. Y., 26 March 1815. They were living in the west part of Enfield in Feb. 1875.
