III. Washington Silas Owen, b. at Philipstown, now Putnam Valley, N. Y., 1 June 1835; was a clerk in the stove and hardware store of his uncle, Washington Silas Whitney, 109 and 111 Beekman Street, New York; and was last seen by his friends at Hoboken, N. J., 17 March 1854, since which they have heard nothing from him, and suppose that he was murdered.

IV. Nancy Maria Owen, b. at Putnam Valley, N. Y., 7 Ap. 1838; married there, 7 Oct. 1868, by Rev. Harvey Alley, Baptist, to Andrew Jackson Dean, a farmer, son of Jonathan and Permelia (Price) Dean, of Carmel, N. Y., where he was born 12 March 1834. They lived at Mahopac Falls, in Carmel, in Nov. 1873.

V. Jane Fayette Owen, b. at Putnam Valley, N. Y., 11 June 1841; married there, 8 Ap. 1858, James Barnum Lickley, a farmer, born at Putnam Valley, son of John and Mary (Cole) Lickley. She procured a divorce from him, 10 Feb. 1865; and married (2d), at Putnam Valley, 28 Feb. 1865, Sarlis Drew, a farmer and dealer in live stock, son of Gilbert and Betsey (Clawson) Drew, of Kent, N. Y., where he was born 29 Ap. 1824. He was living at Kent in Nov. 1873, having been a member of the Legislature of New York, in 1871, and supervisor of the town of Kent for seven years.

VI. Phebe Adeline Owen, b. at Putnam Valley, N. Y., 3 Jan. 1843; married there, 14 Sept. 1866, John Lester, a trader and machinist, son of Jacob and Electa (Ferris) Lester. They lived at 1 Maple Street, Poughkeepsie, N. Y., in Nov. 1873.

VII. Sarah Augusta Owen, b. at Putnam Valley, N. Y., 29 Jan. 1846; married there, 11 Oct. 1871, by Rev. Jabez Marshall, Baptist, to James Robert Wright, a carpenter and joiner, born at Lake Mahopac, Carmel, N. Y., 4 Ap. 1850, son of James and Mary Ann (Wixon) Wright. He resided with her mother, at Oscawana Corners, Putnam Valley, in Nov. 1873.
