Seventh Generation.
Charity (Huestis) Haight, of Fishkill, where she was born 5 Jan. 1790.1 They settled in Philipstown, near the north line, on the road leading from Cold Spring Landing to Fishkill Village, where the division of the county, in 1812, left them in the new county of Putnam. They moved, in 1830, to St. Andrew's, in Montgomery, N. Y., where he died, 2 Feb. 1834. He was buried at the church of Berea, about two miles from St. Andrew's. She died at Fishkill Landing, 13 Dec. 1849, and was buried in the Presbyterian Cemetery at Matteawan, N. Y.
1786 II. Isaac Riggs, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 5 March 1787; a shoemaker; married, 25 July, 1812, Marinda Smith, who was born in Ridgefield, 23 May 1792, dau. of Azor and Mehetabel (Fairbanks) Smith, of Ridgefield. He died in Ridgefield, 4 Feb. 1836, and was buried in Titicus Cemetery. She was living at North Wilton, Conn., in Sept. 1875. 5776

1787 III. Polly Riggs, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., 6 July 1791; lived in Reading, Conn., from his seventh to his twenty-first year; married in South Salem, N. Y., in 1810, Lockwood Gray, a hatter, born in the State of Delaware, about 1783, son of Gilead and Sarah (Beers) Gray. They settled in Ridgefield, where she died, 3 Dec. 1828, and was buried in Titicus Cemetery. He married (2d), 8 May 1831, at Ridgefield, Sally Smith, who was born at Ridgefield, 25 May 1789, dau. of Jeremiah and Lydia (Smith) Smith. He had a third wife, named Doty. He died 14 June 1857, and was buried in Titicus Cemetery. He served in the war of 1812, as a drafted militia-man. 5781
1788 IV. Daniel Riggs, b. in Ridgefield, Conn., about 16 May 1793, and was three weeks old at the death of his father; married Lumerec Ryerson, dau. of Richard Ryerson; and died in Ridgefield. 5789
