quantities of butter to Hong Kong, China, and had gained there an excellent reputation, when other shippers imitated their brand. To detect and stop the fraud, he went to Hong Kong, where he spent several years, and became interested in a company formed for colonizing a portion of the Island of Borneo, of which company he was secretary. The following notice of his death was published in a Hong Kong paper: "Died, at Ellena, Kimamis River, Borneo, On Tuesday, May 22d, 1866, in the 40th year of his age, Thomas Bradley Harris, Chief Secretary of Amboug and Maroodu, and, at the time of his death, administering the Government of that Colony ; a native of New York City, U. S. of America; and for several years a resident of Hong Kong." She was living at Walton, in May 1874.
1991 VI. Andrew Seymour, b. in New York City. 8 Ap. 1831; died, 20 March 1832, in New York, and was buried in the Baptist Cemetery on Houston Street.
1992 VII. Emma Jane Seymour, b. in New York City, 3 Dec. 1833; married, 2 Aug. 1852, at New York, Charles Bervic Wade,1 a merchant, born in Amity Street, New York, 8 Jan. 1830, son of Elias and Maria (Smith) Wade. They settled in Walton, N. Y., where she was living in May 1877, with her father. He died, 10 May 1873, in Binghamton, N. Y., while there on a visit, and was buried in Walton Cemetery. 6311
1993 VIII. Ann Augusta Seymour, b. in New York City. 11 Nov. 1837; died, 7 Jan. 1841, in New York, and was buried there, in the Baptist Cemetery on Houston Street.

1994 I. Willard Miner Hoyt, b. in Walton, N. Y., 9 Dec. 1812; a minister of the Presbyterian Church ; grad. at Union Theological Seminary, in 1842, and preached, the next Sunday, at Nineveh, N. Y., where he continued for twenty-four years; married, 28 Sept 1842, at 127 Broome Street, New York, by Rev. Mason Noble, Presbyterian, to Margaret Ann Bennet, dau. of Johannes and Phebe (Luyster) Bennet, of New York, where she was born 31 July 1813.. She died 23 Nov. 1847. He was 6318
