Whitney Family.

Strong. He always lived in Albany, and died there, 3 June 1877, and was buried in the Albany Cemetery. He was of the firm of Strong, Whitney & Co., 476 and 478 Broadway, Albany, jobbers of dry goods, and agents for knit goods, gloves, and mittens.
2113 III. Charles Edward Whitney, b. in Albany, N.Y., 17 Oct. 1820; a book-keeper; married, 16 Aug. 1842, in Albany, by Rev. Wm. B. Sprague, D.D., Presbyterian, to Louisa Sharts, dau. of John Sharts. He died of consumption, 29 Nov. 1844, at Albany, and was buried in lot 17, section 40, Albany Rural Cemetery. She married (2nd), James Keyes, who was a soldier in the late Rebellion, and, not returning, is thought to have died in the war. she was living at Albany, a widow, in 1874.
2114 IV. Mary Randall Whitney, b. in Albany, N.Y., 12 March 1823; a teacher in the Schoharie Academy; died of consumption, at her father's house in Albany, 9 Dec. 1854, unmarried, and was buried in the Albany Rural Cemetery, lot 17, section 40.
2115 V. William Henry Whitney, b. in Albany, N.Y., 20 Ap. 1825; died in Albany, 3 July 1826, and buried in Albany, in the old Presbyterian burying-ground.
2116 VI. William Henry Whitney, b. in Albany, N.Y., 7 June 1827; was drowned, while bathing in the Hudson River, at Albany, 22 June 1843, and buried in Albany, in the old Presbyterian burying-ground.
2117 VII. George Carpenter Whitney, b. in Albany, N.Y., 15 Sept. 1829; a silversmith, and dealer in pictures and frames; married 1 July 1859, in Brooklyn, N.Y., Caroline Forman, dau. of Bradner Forman, of the same city. They settled in Brooklyn, E.D., and dwelt there in 1868; after which he went to St. Louis, Mo., where he was living, at 221 Elm Street, in April, 1874. 6613
2118 VIII. ----- Whitney, a son, not named, b. in Albany, N.Y., in 1832; died a few hours later, and was buried in the old Presbyterian burying-ground.
2119 IX. Richard Henry Marvin Whitney, b. in Albany, N.Y., 15 June 1834; died in Albany, 24 Feb. 1852, and was buried there.
2120 X. Hannah Elizabeth Whitney, b. at 5 Plain Street, Albany, N.Y., 18 June 1836; married, 17 June 1858, at Northville, N.Y., by Rev. Amos Crocker, Congregational, to Milton Orville Hutchings, a dealer in furniture, who was born at New Lebanon Springs, N.Y., 8 Oct. 1832, son of Orville and Lavinia (Woodbury) Hutchings. They resided in Albany till Oct. 6614
