2538 II. Benjamin Whitney, b. in Warwick, N. Y., 7 Nov. 1800; a farmer; died unmarried, in May 1832, at Fayette, N. Y.
2539 III. Lydia Whitney, b. in Romulus, N. Y., 14 March 1803; married in Coldwater, Mich., 5 Feb. 1845, George S. Nichols; married (2d), in Adams, Mich., John Smith Older, a farmer, who was born in Romulus, 15 Sept. 1810, son of William and Caroline (Hagaman) Older, of Romulus, afterward of Adrian, Michigan. She dwelt at Coldwater, Branch Co., Mich., for four years; at Union City, in the same county, for six years; and lived at Osseo, Hillsdale Co., Mich., in Jan. 1875, having been a resident of that county for twenty-three years. His first wife was her sister, Adelia Whitney.
2540 IV. Adelia Whitney, b. in Romulus, N. Y., 10 Jan. 1806; married, 22 Nov. 1829, in Shelby, N. Y., John Smith Older, whose history has been given with that of her sister, Lydia Whitney, his second wife. She died, 17 Dec. 1853, in Adams, Mich., and was buried in Adrian Centre Cemetery, on her father's farm. 7518
2541 V. Daniel Sears Whitney, b. in Romulus, N. Y., 30 May 1808; married, 1 Ap. 1833, in Adrian, Mich., Lydia Louisa Walworth, born at Ovid, N. Y., dau. of William and Magdalena (Wheeler) Walworth. When she married, her father had been dead for several years, and her mother was the second wife of her husband's father. He died at Adrian, 21 Ap. 1872, and was buried at Adrian Centre Cemetery. She was living at Adrian in June 1875. 7526
2542 VI. Volney Beckner Whitney, b. in Romulus, N. Y., 16 July 1811; a farmer; married, 2 Jan. 1848, in Adams, Mich., Fanny Melissa Austin, who was born in Locke, N. Y., 4 Ap. 1825, dau. of George Washington and Zaidee (Munger) Austin. They settled in Adrian, Mich.; and, in June 1864, moved to Adams, where he died 18 Sept. 1864, and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery. She was still living there in Jan. 1875. 7527
2543 VII. Marian Whitney, b. in Romulus, N. Y., 16 Ap. 1814; married, 25 Feb. 1836, at Adrian, Mich., her cousin, Morris Todd, a carpenter and joiner, son of Samuel and Hannah (Whitney) Todd. She died without children, at Adrian, 5 Sept. 1838. 2586
2544 VIII. Esther Delevan Whitney, b. in Romulus, N. Y., 11 July 1818; married in 1845, ----- Dennison; and died at Coldwater, Mich., 19 Aug. 1848.
