Amos7 Whitney (Robinson6, Amos5, Amos4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Robinson6 and Elsie (Chadbourne)(Sherbourne) Whitney, was born 25 Jan 1819, Newburgh, ME (recorded Dixmont, ME),[1] and died 8 Aug 1890, Augusta, ME, aged 71 years.[2]
He married 5 Jun 1853, Penobscot Co., Maine, Elizabeth Folsom, "both of Newburgh",[3] daughter of Benjamin and Sarah (Chadbourn) Folsom. She was born 23 Feb 1822, Dixmont, ME,[4] and died after 1900.
Elizabeth was the sister of Mary S. Folsom, who married Amos's brother John Chadbourn Whitney.
