He married, 8 Aug 1869, Adrian, MO, Margaret Josephine Ramsey. She was born 20 Feb 1854, Cass Co., MO, and died 16 Feb 1917, Sandwich, IL.

He resided Newark, IL.

Enlisted as a private in Company F, 36th Illinois Infantry Regiment on 18 Mar 1864. Mustered out on 8 Oct 1865 at Washington, DC.

He applied for a pension 10 Jan 1883, as an invalid, from Missouri.
