Haynes Whitney, parentage unknown, but brother of Calvin Whitney,[1] born allegedly Dec 1788, Woodstock, VT, but not verified, and died 18 Sep 1825, Thomaston, ME.
He may have been identical to Haynes Whitney, born 7 Dec 1787, Wendell, NH, son of Joshua and Sally (-----) Whitney of Wendell, NH, and Bridgewater, VT.
He "Mr." married, 24 Jan 1816 or 23 Feb 1815, Thomaston, ME, "Miss" Jane Robinson, "both of Thomaston",[2] daughter of Moses and Jane (Burton) Robinson. She was born 3 Sep 1790, and died 16 Jan 1885. She married secondly, 1 Jun 1828, Thomaston, ME, Jeremiah Gilman, born 14 Oct 1804, Gilmanton, NH.
He resided Woodstock, VT, and Thomaston, ME.
