Family:Whitney, Jabez Mark (1843-1919)

Jabez Mark⁸ Whitney (John Wheeler⁷, Jabez⁶, Phineas⁵, Isaac⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of John Wheeler⁷ and Martha Jane (Riggins) Whitney, was born about 8 May 1843, Mount Sterling, IL, and died 19 Apr 1919, Bozeman, MT.

He married firstly, before 1864, Josephine Etta Cardinall. She was born about 1846, MN, and died after 1880. They were apparently divorced.

He married secondly, Sep 1876, McGregor, IA, Etta L. (Crandall) Chamberlain. She died in 1901. She had married firstly Fred Chamberlain.

Company E, 1st Minnesota Heavy Artillery and Company A, 1st Minnesota Cavalry.
