Col. Moses6 Whitney (Ezra5, James4, John3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Ezra5 and Mercy (Morse) Whitney, was born 7 Mar 1757, Douglas, MA,[1] and "Col." died 10 Apr 1826, Wrentham, MA, aged 70 years.[2]
Marriage intentions were published (?1780), Douglas, MA, for him and Hannah Palmer "of Boxford".[3] He "of Douglas" married firstly, 31 Dec 1780, Boxford, MA, Hannah Palmer,[4] daughter of John and Mary (Crissey) Palmer. She was born 28 Feb 1757, Rowley, MA, and died 30 May 1793, Uxbridge, MA, in her 37th year.[5]
He "Capt." married secondly, 3 Apr 1796, Uxbridge, MA, "Mrs." Nancy (Mann) Tyler,[6] daughter of David and Anna (Randall) Mann. She was born 31 Mar 1767, Wrentham, MA, and died 15 Sep 1847, Wrentham, MA, aged 80 years, of dysentery.[7]
He served in the Revolutionary war, first in a Douglas company and later in the company from Uxbridge, in which he was sergeant. He resided Uxbridge and Wrentham, MA.
May 25, 1790, Moses was appointed guardian of Polly Wells Tyler, a child of second wife by her first husband.

Hallowell, ME, 6 Apr. He was the son of Samuel Sumner Wilde and Eunice Cobb, his wife. Samuel S. Wilde was judge of the supreme court of Massachusetts, and when Maine became a state, Judge Wilde moved his family to Newburyport, that he might still be a resident of Massachusetts. One of Mr. Wilde'S sisters married Judge Emmons, of Hallowell, and another married Hon. Caleb Cushing, of Newburyport. Two of Mr. Wilde's brothers studied law and practiced, but Mr. Wilde never followed any profession, and his life was full of changes. Like other Newburyport boys he went to sea. Rounding Cape Horn he remained in the Andes, in the silver mines for a time, returned to the United States and went into a store in Boston. Later he was married to Ellen Maria Whitney and went into the coal business in Pottsville, PA, where his daughter, Anne Doane, was born. He moved to Albia village, a part of Troy, NY, and after a few years he moved to Washington, DC. For a time he was in the office of his brother-in-law, Caleb Cushing, then for a number of years he was in the navy department. In 1847 he moved his family to Boston and made his home with his father, Judge Wilde, who was a widower, living in that city. Mr. Wilde was in the custom house, and later was naval storekeeper at Charlestown, MA. In 1855 Judge Wilde died and Mr. Wilde moved to one of the suburbs. He died when away from home in Pepperell, MA, 30 Mar 1873. Children: a. Annes Doane Wilde, b. 8 Jul 1838; m. 9 Oct 1864, Henry W. Daniell; resided Boston, MA. b.
