Family:Whitney, Sarah (s1686-a1730)
Sarah3 Whitney (Joshua2, John1), daughter of Joshua2 and Abigail (Tarbell) Whitney,[1] was born about 1686, Groton, MA,[2] and died after 29 Sep 1730, and possibly after 15 Oct 1751, exact date and place unknown.[3]
She married, 11 Jul 1704, Plainfield, CT, Nathaniel Jewell,[4] son of Nathaniel and Mary (Smedley)(Shepard) Jewell.[5] He was born 10 Nov 1678, Concord, MA,[6] and died before 29 Sep 1730, Plainfield, CT.[7] He was half-brother of Samuel Shepard who married Sarah's sister Eleanor, and brother of Hannah Jewell who married Daniel Lawrence (Ruth3 Whitney, John2, John1).
She may have married secondly, between 1730 and 1751, ----- Tyler or Taylor.[8] If so, she had no children by him.
His will was dated 28 Feb 1728, Plainfield, CT, and proved 29 Sep 1730. Executors were his widow Sarah and her brother David Whitney.[9]

8.^ Her brother Joshua's will of 10 Oct 1751 mentions Sarah Tylor, apparently this same sister Sarah. Whether the surname should be Tyler or Taylor is unknown. A possible candidate for this husband is Samuel Taylor of Woodstock, two of whose daughters married Zachariah and Ezekiel Whitney.
