Walter7 Whitney (Nehemiah6, Walter5, Samuel4, Richard3, John2, Henry1), son of Nehemiah6, was born 28 Jan 1827, Meredith, NY, and died after 1880.

He married, 1 Jan 1850, Ogdensburgh, NY, Catherine M. Wilson, daughter of Andrew and Catharine (Moffatt) Wilson. She was born 4 Mar 1827, County Longford, Ireland, and died after 1880.

Phoenix says the following:

". . . a marble-engraver . . . . They lived in Potsdam, N.Y., about one year; in Prescott, C.W., about two years; and settled, 20 Oct. 1854, at Flint, Mich., where they were living in Sept. 1874."

ii. Clarissa Ruth Whitney, b. 12 Apr 1854, Prescott, Canada West; and was living with her parents, at Flint, MI, in 1874; m. 15 Aug 1876, Flint, MI, George R. Shatto.
iii. George Walter Whitney, b. 1 Feb 1855, Flint, MI; m. Lizzie A. Cone.
