Charles8 Whitney (Silas7, Silas6, Daniel5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Silas7 and Abigail M. (Shedd) Whitney, was born 15 Sep 1805, Boston, MA, and died 27 Dec 1884, Boston, MA.

Marriage intentions were published 1826, Charlestown, MA, for him "Mr." "of Charlestown" and "Miss" Maria Emery "of Chichester, N.H."[1] He married, 6 Jun 1826, Concord, NH, Lydia Maria Emery,[2] daughter of Benjamin and Lydia (Hall) Emery. She was born 24 Feb 1808, Concord, NH, and died 12 Dec 1884, Melrose, MA, aged 76 years 9 months 11 days, of valvular disease of heart and dropsy.[3]
