Charles W.8 Whitney (Calvin7, Daniel6, James5, [prob.] James4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of Calvin7 and Roxana (Wheelock) Whitney, was born 25 Oct 1844, Ludlow, VT,[1] and died after 1920.

He married firstly, 14 Mar 1865, Ludlow, VT, Miranda E. Ellerson/Ellison ("Charanda" according to Pierce), daughter of Nahum and Lura (-----) Ellison.[2] She was born 19 Dec 1847, Ludlow, VT, and died 24 Jun 1889, Sudbury, MA, aged 41 years 6 months 5 days, of consumption.[3]

He married secondly, 18 Jun 1894, Sudbury, MA, Adeline Hunt, daughter of Horatio and Eliza A. (Witherel) Hunt.[4] She was born about 1858, Sudbury or Waltham, MA, and died 5 Jan 1901, Sudbury, MA, aged 43 years 4 months 5 days, of laryngeal tuberculosis.[5] She was buried in Sudbury, MA.

He is a farmer and carpenter; resided Sudbury, MA. In 1920, he resided in Seattle, WA.
