Emily F.⁸ Whitney (James⁷, Aaron⁶, Levi⁵, Daniel⁴, Jonathan³, Jonathan², John¹), daughter of James⁷ and Julia A. (Dorr) Whitney, was born 18 Aug 1837, Westbrook, ME.

She married 25 May 1863, Calais, ME, Freeland H. Dam. He was born 13 Apr 1835, Enfield, ME, and died 25 Dec 1922, St. Cloud, MN.

Freeland H. Dam was a veteran of the Indian Wars, resulting in a pension from the U.S. government.
