Ira McKendree8 Whitney (Asa7, John6, Nathan5, Thomas4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Asa7 and Ruth (Amidon) Whitney, was born 27 Dec 1815, Readsboro, VT, and died 26 Mar 1895, Williamstown, MA, aged 79 years 3 months, of paralysys heart.[1]

He married, 19 Mar 1837, Halifax, VT, Mary Ann Puffer [given names omitted],[2] daughter of Timothy and Annie (-----) Puffer. She was born circa 1824, Readsboro, VT, and died 12 Feb 1889, Williamstown, MA, aged 64 years 9 months 14 days, of partial paralyssis.[3]
