Jonas6 Whitney (Timothy5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Timothy5 and Alice (Whitney) Whitney,[1] was born 21 Oct 1771, Petersham, MA,[2] and died in 1845, Otis, MA.
Marriage intentions were published 25 Nov 1790, Blandford, MA, for him "Mr." and "Mrs." Mary Noble, "both of Blandford".[3] She died aged 77 years.
He was a blacksmith. He resided Otis, MA.
Children of Jonas6 and Mary (Noble) Whitney:
i. Barnabas7 Whitney, b. 1 May 1791; resided New York state. ii. Harvey Whitney, b. 23 Jul 1795; d.s.p. iii. Erastus Marvin Whitney, b. 28 Jul 1797; m. Mrs. Mary E. (Jackson) Davidson. iv. Mary Whitney, b. 20 Feb 1801; d. Chester, MA, and left one dau.; m. (int. 5 Jan 1823, Chester, MA), Eli Gibbs.[4] v. Alice Whitney, b. 21 Mar 1803; d. Hartford, CT, leaving one dau. vi. Silas Whitney, b. 4 Apr 1805; m. Ann Fay. vii. Milton Whitney, b. 17 Apr 1807; resided in Iowa.
