Joshua5 Whitney (Joshua4, Joshua3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Joshua4 and Phebe (-----) Whitney,[1] was born 27 Feb 1738/9, Uxbridge, MA.[2]

He married firstly, 29 Oct 1765, Medway, MA Jemima Clark.[3] She was born circa 1745, possibly Medway, MA, and died 22 Nov 1778, Medway, MA.[4]

He married secondly, 28 Oct 1779, Medway, MA Keziah Hobbs.[5] She was born circa 1742 (calculated from age at death), and died 15 Apr 1820, Medway, MA, in her 78th year.

Children of Joshua5 and Jemima (Clark) Whitney, all born Medway, MA:

i. Simeon6 Whitney, b. 29 Aug 1766, m. 13 Aug 1792, Boston, MA, Achsah Leland,[6] daughter of Joseph and Abigail (Howard) Leland.[7]
ii. Joshua Whitney, b. 25 Jan 1769, Medfield, MA;[8] bapt. 23 Apr 1769;[9] d. 26 Feb 1779, Medway, MA.[10]
iii. Silas Whitney, b. 20 Mar 1771,[11] m. 16 Mar 1791, Medway, MA, Tryphena Lane, daughter of Zephaniah and Hannah (Pond) Lane.
iv. Adah Whitney, b. 16 May 1774 [sic]; d. 16 May 1773, Medway, MA [sic].[12]
v. Nabby Whitney, b. 16 May 1774 [sic]; d. 16 May 1773, Medway, MA [sic].[13]
vi. Priscilla Whitney, b. 10 Nov 1776 [sic], bapt. 12 Nov 1775, Medway, MA[sic];[14] "of Medway" m. 4 May 1801, Bellingham, MA, Joel Adams.[15]

i. Daniel Hobbs6 Whitney, b. 6 Mar 1781; m. 5 Nov 1801, Medway, MA, Irene Morse.
ii. Joshua Whitney, b. 17 Jan 1783; m. 29 Nov 1808, Medway, MA, Caroline Williams.
