Notes

There was a Samuel5 Whitney, son of Elnathan4 and Sarah (Perry) Whitney, whose death is recorded on 28 Dec 1751, Waltham, MA. This is exactly a month and a day after the above date, and in an adjoining town. One might guess that two death records refer to the same event. There doesn't seem to be any other known descendant of John1 Whitney to whom this record might belong. There is no other known information to either support or refute this identification.
