Jacob Whitney, probably the same person as Jacob7 Whitney (Jabez6, Jacob5, Jonas4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Jabez6 and Elizabeth (-----) Whitney, who was born 4 Nov 1804, Orange, MA,[1] and died after 1870.
He "Mr." married, 24 Aug 1828, Ware, MA, "Miss" Sally Pratt "both of Ware".[2] She was born in Petersham, MA, and died after 1880.

Foskett, of Orange, daughter of James and Hannah (-----) Foskett, b. ca. 1841, Orange, MA.[4] He was not living with Emma in 1870, but no death record found. She m.(2) 8 Jan 1874, Athol, MA, Sumner W. Pitts, as his third wife. iii. Charles Mayo Whitney, b. 23 Oct 1833, Wayland, MA; m. Laura Acenath Maxfield. iv. Elizabeth M. Whitney, b. ca. 1836, MA; "of Phillipston" m. 25 Apr 1859, Winchendon, MA, Francis Emerson Grout of North Dana, son of Orra and Malinda (Randall) Grout, b. ca. 1832, Pelham, MA.[5] Resided Dana, MA, 1860, and Westfield, MA, 1870-1910. v. (son) Whitney, b. say 1838, MA. He was listed with the family on the 1840 census, but was not with them in 1850. vi. Alonzo Jacob Whitney, b. ca. 4 Aug 1839, Framingham, MA; d. 3 Apr 1902, Worcester, MA, aged 62 years 7 months 29 days, of angina pectoris;[6] "Jacob A." m.(1) 2 Sep 1861, Hubbardston, MA, Frances A. Billings, daughter of Wm. E. and Euela (-----) Billings, b. ca. 1841, Dana, MA; m.(2) 9 Feb 1871, Westfield, MA, Annie M. Joiner, daughter of G.
