Benjamin5 Whitney (Joshua4, Joshua3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Joshua4 and Phebe (-----) Whitney,[1] was born 14 Mar 1743, Uxbridge, MA.[2]

Benjamin Whitney, of Uxbridge, 30 Sep 1765, received of Lydia Taft, admr., his portion of his father's estate, of which Josiah Taft was admr., so much in full. Joshua, Nathaniel and Hannah, and Isaac and Phebe Kibby also signed receipts at the same time. [Wor. Prob. Rec.] Resided Uxbridge, Massachusetts.

Probably he was the one who married, 4 Apr 1775, Westborough, MA, Esther Higgins.[3]

Children of Benjamin5 and Esther (Higgins) Whitney:

i. Lydia6 Whitney, b. 6 Jun 1775, Westborough, MA; d. 28 Oct 1816, Dummerston, VT; m. 16 Mar 1792, Dummerston, VT, Levi Goddard, both of Dummerston.[4]
